Information for Junior Counsels

Ours is a law firm in the Ikeja (Allen) area of Lagos State. Our principal focus is real estate, litigation, conveyancing, land registry practices and cross-border practice. This notwithstanding, we do handle matters pertaining to other areas of law practice.

We seek a dynamic and resourceful junior lawyer, who will also be in charge of the law firm.

The ideal candidate:

ü Must have minimum of 3 years post-NYSC experience in ACTIVE litigation.

ü Must be very conversant with laws and practice, specifically the laws and rules of courts in Lagos State.

ü Must have good research and analytical and persuasive skill.

ü Must be able to work and handle matters right from the onset to the end, with little or no supervision, and at short notice.

ü Must have requisite experience and must have handled many matters in the courts previously.

ü Must have a good knowledge of the Yoruba language, to ensure smooth communication with indigenous clients.

ü Must be conversant with Land Registry Practices.

ü Must be dynamic, dedicated and experienced.

ü Must be very good and knowledgeable in the use of computer and internet applications, most especially, the candidate must be adept at the use of Microsoft Words, etc.

The appointment will be for a probational period of 12 months, which may then be confirmed depending on satisfactory performance.

 

Salary payable will depend on year of qualification and the degree of active experience.
